How are fuel expenses calculated?
LoadProfits combines your truck's MPG, total loaded and deadhead miles, and available regional diesel pricing to estimate the fuel cost for each load.
Can I manage multiple trucks with different expenses?
Yes. You can create separate truck profiles with their own MPG, truck payment, insurance, trailer rent, and other unit-specific expenses.
Can I set different driver pay methods?
Yes. For each load, you can choose whether driver pay applies and calculate it by percentage of gross revenue, loaded miles, all miles, paid hours, trip days, or a fixed amount per load.
What expenses can I include in my load calculations?
You can include fuel, optional driver pay for each load, truck payments, insurance, trailer expenses, maintenance and tire reserves, company overhead, factoring fees, dispatch fees, and other operating costs.
How is route mileage calculated?
LoadProfits uses route information between the origin and destination to estimate trip mileage. You can then use that mileage together with your operating costs to analyze the load.
Where do diesel prices come from?
For U.S. routes, LoadProfits uses official weekly regional diesel prices from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. For Canadian routes, it uses recent city-level diesel market data from Kalibrate when available, with weekly Natural Resources Canada data and official monthly Statistics Canada data as backups. The official Bank of Canada exchange rate converts Canadian prices to U.S. dollars per gallon. Actual pump prices may vary by location, fuel station, discounts, and date.
Can I save and review previous loads?
Yes. Your Reports section allows you to review saved load history and track important figures from loads you have analyzed.
What do Net Profit and Profit Per Mile mean?
Net Profit is the estimated amount remaining after the expenses included in your calculation are deducted from the load revenue. Profit Per Mile shows that estimated profit divided by the total miles used in the calculation.
Can LoadProfits be used by owner-operators and fleets?
Yes. LoadProfits is designed for individual owner-operators as well as growing fleets that need to evaluate load profitability using their own trucks, drivers, and operating expenses.
Is my company and truck information private?
Your account information is associated with your LoadProfits account and is used to provide your fleet and profitability tools. You should always protect your login credentials and avoid sharing your password.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. LoadProfits does not require a long-term commitment. Subscription and billing management options are available through your account.
What happens after my 10 free calculations run out?
Every new account starts with 10 free load calculations, with no card required. Once they run out, calculating a new load requires an active subscription — but everything else (your trucks, company settings, saved load history, and reports) stays available. The introductory subscription promotion is available only once per account and is not repeated if you cancel and later resubscribe.
Can I change my billing or payment method?
Billing and payment information can be managed through the available subscription and billing controls associated with your account.
What should I do if I have a technical or billing problem?
Use the Contact section to send a support request with the details of your issue. You can select the type of problem and provide information that helps support understand what happened.
Does LoadProfits guarantee that a load will be profitable?
No. LoadProfits is a calculation and decision-support tool. Results are estimates based on the information, expenses, mileage, fuel pricing, and other data used in the calculation. Actual operating results may differ, and the final business decision remains with the user.
